Resident Fees - Newbury Resident or any  *Veteran (residency not required) *Proof of Veteran status is required and may be verified by Military ID or DD214 and license.

Resident or Veteran One (1) Day Shellfish Permit - $7.00

Resident or Veteran Annual (Season) Shellfish Permit - $45.00

Senior Resident or Veteran (65+) Non-Commercial Lifetime Shellfish Permit - No Fee

Resident - Commercial

Resident Commercial Shellfish License - $300.00 - Click here for Application and Regulations

Resident Junior (Under 15 yrs by April 1) Commercial Shellfish License - $100.00

Resident Senior (Over 65 yrs by April 1) Commercial Shellfish License - $100.00

Moderately Contaminated Flats (RESTRICTIONS APPLY) - Call for details

Non-Resident Fees

Non-Resident One (1) Day Shellfish Permit (Out-of-State OR Mass.) - $22.00

Non-Resident Season Shellfish Permit (Mass. ONLY) - $260.00

Non-Resident Season Shellfish Permit - Senior (65+) (Mass. ONLY) - $100.00                                                                                             

Eel/Crab Permits (Resident only unless quota not fulfilled)

Resident License (Limit 24 Pots) - $100.00

How to apply for a non-commercial permit:

Email a request, your contact information and copy of your Driver's License to townclerk@townofnewbury.org. Attach proof of Veteran status if applicable.
