Newbury Housing Production Planning MBTA Communities Forum

On Monday evening, December 11th, at 6:30pm at the Newbury Town Library, all residents of Newbury are invited to join staff from the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission and the Town's planning staff for a discussion on the Town’s Housing Production Planning work. The community forum will focus in particular on Newbury's options to zone for multi-family housing districts per the requirements of the State’s MBTA Communities legislation.

The December 11th community forum will be an opportunity for residents to learn more about Newbury’s housing needs and about MBTA Communities Multi-Family Zoning from MVPC staff, to ask questions, and to provide input on the options the Town is considering to comply with the MBTA Communities Zoning legislation and guidelines.

Please join us for a robust discussion about the need for housing choice and affordable housing in Newbury, and about multi-family housing. Zoning amendments will be proposed for inclusion on the Warrant for Annual Town Meeting in April, 2024, so now is the time to provide input!
