Where can I bring my yard refuse, such as leaves and brush?

The Newbury Transfer Station does not accept yard refuse at this time.  Some of the local waste removal companies, such as G. Mello G Disposal Transfer Station, Georgetown, Pearson Landscape, Byfield & JRM, Peabody offer pick-up and removal services.  Please contact them directly for information. 

In addition, the Town, through the Fire Department, also offers burning permits.  The Burn Season is January 15th through May 1st. Burning Permits are required and may be obtained for a fee at the East/Newbury or the West/Byfield Fire Departments.  Upon purchase, the Fire Department will make you aware of the process on how to confirm burn days and the requirement of providing your permit number.
