This page provides information on the proposed by-law amendments for the Town of Newbury Wetlands By-law, Chapter 95. The attached files (below) show a clean copy of the proposed amended by-law and a "red-lined" copy that shows tracked changes, both dated 1/13/2021, as well as a clean copy dated 3/15/2021. Also linked on this page are the Conservation Commission meeting recordings where the proposed by-law amendments have been discussed.

For more information on why these amendments are being proposed, the Conservation Commission has developed this document

The Conservation Commission would like to remind residents that no changes will be made to the by-law as it stands for Plum Island. Reasons for this are discussed in the October 25, 2021 meeting of the Commission, linked below. The proposed amendments to the by-law are intended to provide additional protections to our Town's valuable inland wetland resources, and will not impose additional local regulations for work on Plum Island. For any questions regarding the proposed by-law amendments, please contact the Conservation Agent by email at conscom@townofnewbury.org or by phone at (978) 465-0862 ext. 310.
