Types of Permits and Applications

 
Application Not Required (ANR): applicants who wish to record a plan of land in the Registry of Deeds or the Land Court and who believe that the plan does not require approval under the Subdivision Control Law may use this application (Form A), to be submitted to the Planning Board, for a determination that the subject plan does not require subdivision approval. 
Preliminary Subdivision Plan (PSP): A Preliminary Subdivision Plan (PSP) application (Form B) may be submitted by an applicant to the Board for discussion and approval, modification, or disapproval by the Board. The submission of such a PSP enable the applicant, the Board, and other municipal agencies, officials, and the public to discuss any problems the proposed subdivision may present before a Definitive Subdivision Plan is prepared. 
Definitive Plan: This application (Form C) is used to submit a Definitive Subdivision Plan or modification to a previously approved plan to the Planning Board for its approval. 
  • Form C: Application for Approval of a Required Plan 
  • Fee for Definitve Plan Application:
    • Definitive plan with submitted preliminary plan Or with submitted conceptual plan for OSRD $1000 plus $500/lot or unit
    • Definitive plan without preliminary plan $2000 plus $500/lot or unit
    • Modification, at request of applicant - To preliminary plan $75 plus $50/lot affected or to definitive plan $500 plus $100/lot affected
