All dog owners in Newbury must obtain a license for their dog by April 1st. The license can be purchased in the Clerk’s Office during regular hours, or can be purchased by mail. A current rabies certificate must be presented. The fee is $10 for any dog. Kennel fees are: 4 dogs-$25, 10 dogs-$50, over 10 dogs-$100. To obtain a license by mail, forward the dog’s rabies certificate, a SASE and a check with the proper amount made payable to the Town of Newbury to:

We will return the rabies certificate along with the tag(s). If a license is not renewed by June 1, fines are then added to the regular licensing fee.
