Friends of the Newbury Council on Aging
The Friends of the Newbury C.O.A. is a nonprofit 501©3 organization formed to support and enhance the programs and activities of the Council on Aging. The Friends primary purpose is to raise money through membership dues, donations, fund raising events, grant writing, and to receive gifts and bequests. Without these funds, some of the classes and activities available at the Senior Center would not be possible.
One current Friends fund raiser:
Newbury Stuff by Stanley Price has just been published by the Friends and is available for only $6.00 from the C.O.A. Office, the Clerk’s Office in Town Hall, or from any member of the Friends Board of Directors. Newbury Stuff is an eclectic collection of history, poetry, drawings, maps, and local lore by the late Stanley Price, long time Newbury resident and former historian for the Newburyport Post Office.
Newbury Baseball Caps ($20.00) and Newbury Mugs ($8.00) are available at the Town Clerk's Office, Town Hall, 25 High Road. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Council on Aging.
Annual membership dues are $15 and everyone, regardless of home town or age, is encouraged to join the Friends to support the mission of the Newbury Council on Aging.
